We've fallen in love with this paint treatment that looks a little like the walls of a Tuscan villa. These photos are from our dining room, my new favorite spot in our house.

Wow, that looks great! I'd love to do this in my house. How'd you do it?

Thanks. I have to admit my hubby actually did the paint treatment. It's a two-paint technique. First you paint a base coat. Then a glaze goes on, using random criss-cross brush stroke. Before the glaze dries, you go over it with a kind of putty knife to smooth the brush strokes and give it a more Venetian plaster-ish look. We found info at Home Depot in the Behr paint section.

I love this application and have done a dramatic 2-story Venetian finish for my living room. Hubby put up quite the fuss over how long the process took (someone else did it) but, is appreciative now.

However did I miss this post -- You did a great job with it. I actually took it for Venetian plaster. Hat's off to you [and your hubby].
