I used two coats of Wet 'N' Wild Wild Shine Polish in Black Creme. Next I applied a coat of Maybelline Colorama Cold As Ice Top Coat. Then I finished it off w/ OPI Rapid Dry (which is my new favorite top coat.) I wasn't up for having pitch black nails (which the WNW polish is excellent at achieving) however as I browsed through my polishes, I kept coming back to WNW Black Creme. I decided to apply the shimmer coat hoping it would just give this look enough shimmer/shine to keep it from being blah. I ended up liking the shimmer effect much more than I thought I would. No matter what type of light I was in, it gave off a nice effect (sort-of red/orange shimmer.) The polish did chip badly after day 2-3 however most of my polishes begin to chip around that time so I wasn't disappointed.

For a special occasion I'd try it. The chipping part is what always gets me. I have a weekly manicure & pedicure & use OPI in the iridescent white pearly color (can't remember the exact name). I find it doesn't chip or if it does, you don't notice.

Wow, I really love this. The shimmer is perfect, and I usually hate shimmer nail polish.

I think it looks good on short nails... I'm not too keen on it for long nails. You pulled it off!
